We loved the location! Close enough to Times Square so we could walk to all our Broadway shows, but far enough to avoid all the noise. Our rooms were sooooo quiet - we loved it. We had room 909 and 910 and the views were really great as well. The hotel has an old nostalgic feel about it without being worn out like some older NYC hotels are. I'd like to note that we did pretty intense research to find the perfect hotel for our needs: we were taking our teenage kids to the city for the first time, so we needed to be very budget conscious but did not want to stay right in Times Square. We read all the reviews and noted some of the concerns some travelers had, but we had no problems. The rooms were clean, our bathrooms were definitely updated, and the staff were very nice. Yes, the furniture was worn in some spots, and the lobby can get pretty busy, but we timed our arrival and departure so as to avoid delays at the front desk. This hotel was great for what we were looking for which was a moderately priced lodging that was safe, clean and well-run within walking distance to the shows.

We loved this hotel! It's in a great neighborhood, only a block and a half to Broadway, easy walk to shows at night and Times Square/ TKTS booth. There are so many subway stops nearby, making it convenient to reach downtown neighborhoods in minutes. 9th avenue has tons of restaurants and a great grocery, the Amish market, two blocks away that we frequented. The westway diner was our favorite comfortable breakfast spot, very reasonable good food and service. We went to a show at Birdland since it was in the neighborhood and are so glad we did. The Belvedere has so much character inside and out when you stop to take a closer look. The hotel staff was always helpful when we needed something. Housekeeping and the doormen were friendly and always spoke to us in passing. Street noise was minimal. We were on the 10th floor and had an uptown view with our "standard" room! We booked based on the price, location and the kitchenette. I feel we got so much more. It was just a great experience.

Location. Access to Brazilian Restaurant. MISS the breakfast offered in the cafeteria prior to COVID. The reason for the visit was to bring my 87 year old father to stay at the Belvedere as his first job in 1951 was working there as the elevator boy, uniform and all. Brought back many memories for him He attended school right across the street and the apartment he grew up in & the park he spent time playing basketball are right around the corner.

Loved the location - very convenient to times square and train stations. Loved the decor and ambience of the hotel in general, felt like I stepped back in time to a more glamorous era. We also had a weird request for some salt for an injury and the front desk searched the whole building to try to find some, unfortunately the salt couldn't be found, but we appreciated the effort.

The hotel is in a great location to theater district and Times Square. Also near many restaurants and pubs. The rooms were very clean. The doormen and bellmen were very helpful
